Special thanks to Sylvia Prior for her contribution of the Cash
Awards and gifts for this category. Sylvia has devoted counteless
hours of promoting the accoridon through the Accordion Federation
of North America (AFNA) which was founded by several accordionists
including her father, Prof. Syl Prior. She taught in the Los Angeles
area for more than 60 years. Her decision to promote the 'ladies'
of the accordion was prompted by a performance of the late Maddalena
Belfiore when she visited Los Angeles and performed at the AFNA
