124th General Assembly of Delegates - Closing Session
Members of the General Assembly met for the Closing Session of the 124th General Assembly of Delegates where they discussed further business of the CIA and ratified the results of the 63rd Coupe Mondiale and associated categories.

A new CIA Voting member were welcomed. The “Faculty of Arts” from Nish (Serbia) under the leadership of Prof. Miljan Bjeletic becomes the third voting member from Serbia. Under the new CIA Statutes, countries with no national organization maybe have up to three voting members such as renowned conservatories or regional associations. Serbia becomes the first nation to utilize the maximum multiple membership joining Serbia - Belgrade Accordion Association (President: Aleksandar Nikolic) the Department of Accordion at Faculty of Philology and Art in Kragujevac (FILUM) under the direction of Accordion Professor: Vojin Vasovic as CIA Voting members.

During the Congress, the Chinese Accordion Association announced exciting details pertaining to the 2011 Coupe Mondiale in Shanghai.
Cyrstal Wang (Vice Presdient of the Shanghai Accordion Associatoin), Professor Li Cong (CIA Delegate and 2011 CIA Honorary Vice President), and Mr. Yu Zhen (Vice President and General Secretary of the Shanghai Musicians Association) took part in a ceremonial signing of the 2011 Coupe Mondiale contract.

The exciting details and preliminary information will be published on the www.coupemondiale.org website by November 1st, 2010.

Farewell Closing Ceremony Concert
The Commerce School Grand Hall was filled to capacity for the Gala Closing Ceremony Prize Giving and Concert featuring the presentation of awards to the top prize winners in each category, the Presentation of the CIA Merit Award to Fritz Dobler, a concert by the seven winners and the grand finale of the World Accordion Orchestra IV.
