All Day Arrival of Guests and Contestants to Croatia
   
Roland 4th Annual International Competition for Digital Accordion - Selects Contestants for CIA Competition
Long before the Coupe Mondiale begins, certain activities are already in place, and this year, this included the 4th Annual International Competition for Digital Accordion which was held in Rome from October 15 - 16, 2010.

As part of their ongoing support for Digital technology as it pertains to the accordion, Roland pledged their support to the CIA by offering to send the highest three placed contestants in Rome that were able to continue their travels and attend compete in the International Competition for Digital Accordion held during the 63rd Coupe Mondiale Festival in Croatia. After the final results, it ended up that the 4th, 5th and 6th placed contestants from the Roland festival were the three artists that would travel to Croatia.

Large CIA Delegation Travels to Croatia from Rome
Many of the attendees at the Roland International Digital Accordion Festival traveled directly to Croatia for the CIA Coupe Mondiale. CIA Delegate Mirco Patarini (Italy) arranged a bus to make the 11 hour journey through Italy and Slovenia to Croatia for those that did not need to return home before making the trip to Croatia. Originating in Spoleto (Italy), the bus stopped in Rome to collect the further delegates and attendees.
