General Eligibility - Coupe Mondiale, 2004
  • There is no limit of numbers of candidates from each country.
  • Candidates up to 32 years of age are allowed to enter the competition - year of birth, born 1972 or later. All entries must include a copy of birth certificate of the candidate.
  • For full eligibility, please see General Information and Conditions
  • Candidates are invited to enter using the new on-line entry forms whenever possible, allowing the entry to be processed and checked promptly. A contact e-mail address is requested for entry confirmation and updated festival information.
  • Entries Close: August 1, 2004
 
Candidates Programme - Coupe Mondiale, 2004

INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION FOR ACCORDION SOLOISTS (COUPE MONDIALE) 2004. There will be three (3) rounds:
Round I - Testpiece Section
  • Impasse - Franck Angelis

    I - Allegro Ritmico
    II - Andante Doloroso
    III - Adagio Sostenuto
    IV - Vivace Finale

    The candidate must choose any TWO (2) movements. The Test Piece is available on request from the CIA Secretariat or on-line.
  • any Prelude and Fugue from the Well Tempered Clavier, Book I or II, by J.S. Bach
  • any Sonata by Domenico Scarlatti
    (The Testpiece (any two movements), the Bach Prelude & Fugue and the Scarlatti Sonata must be played in one sitting and may be played in any order.)
Round II - Complete Original Work
  • One complete original work for the accordion
Round III - Choice Program
  • Own-choice programm consisting of three (3) or more pieces of different styles and characters.
  • Playing time: minimum 20 minutes to maximum 30 minutes. Failure to observe minimum or maximum playing time will result in a mark penalty by the jury.
Prizes and Awards - Coupe Mondiale, 2004
  • All candidates shall receive a Diploma of participation
  • 1st: € 700.00, 2nd: € 350.00, 3rd: € 250.00
  • National member associations are requested to offer concerts or a tour for the 1st Prize Winners.
  • All winners must be present in person at the awards ceremony in appropriate attire. In case of absence, the prize may be accepted by a delegate of their country. Diplomas will be mailed by the Secretariat.
