The newly formed CIA Advancement and Development Committee met to work on proposals to present to the General Assembly.
The committee is chaired by Mirco Patarini (Italy) and Vice Chairperson is Joan C. Sommers.
Luigi Bruti (Italy) was approved by the Executive Committee as a new member of this committee. |

CIA Music Committee Meeting |
Members of the CIA Music Committee held their first meeting in advance of the General Assembly. The Music Committee made final lists of International Jury members for the six CIA Coupe Mondiale categories.

Draw For Playing Order |
Over 100 Candidates assembled for the drawing for playing order in their respective competitions. Always an anticipated event, competitors draw for all rounds of all competitions to determine the time of performance during the competitions.
At the conclusion of the draw, all the contestants are hosted for a welcome reception, allowing a few minutes to relax and socialize before the more than 50 hours of International competition begin. |

CIA Gala Opening Concert |
The National Accordion Organization of the United Kingdom (NAO) hosted a traditional Scottish welcome to the international competitors, delegates and visitors which began with a magnificent and stirring Denny and Dunipace Pipe Band (Denny, Scotland). |

The Renfrewshire Councilor Marie McGurk hosted a reception for all the International delegates and guests, enabling everyone to meet their fellow guests or reacquaint themselves with friends met in previous years. |
