General Eligibility - Coupe Mondiale Digital Accordion Competition, 2009
There
is no limit of numbers of candidates from each country.
Candidates
up to 32 years of age are allowed to enter the competition - year
of birth: born 1977 or later. All entrants are required to provide
proof of age and nationality (Passport) when they register at the
Coupe Mondiale.
For
your convenience all entries will be processed on-line. Entry forms
available from April 1, 2009.

Candidates
Program - Coupe Mondiale Digital Accordion Competition, 2009
OWN CHOICE PROGRAM:
Own Choice Program consisting of at least three (3) pieces of different
styles and moods.
Playing time: maximum
12 minutes. Failure to observe the maximum playing time will result
in a mark penalty.
There will be one
(1) round, except when there is more than 8 candidates. Then a preliminary round will be held to select up to 8 finalists. Candidates shall play the same own choice program for the preliminary round and the final round if two rounds are required.
External sound modules, backing tracks including SMF, audio files, CD or MP3 player etc. may not be used.
All sounds must be activated by the finger/s of the candidate on the accordion keyboard/s.
All types and make of digital accordion may be used however accordions with accoustic sounds are not permited.

All
candidates will receive a Diploma of Participation.
National
member associations are requested to offer concerts or a tour for
the 1st Prize Winners.
All
winners must be present in person at the Awards Ceremony in appropriate
attire suitable for press coverage and publicity appearances. In case
of absence, the prize may be accepted by a delegate of their country
or the Diplomas will be mailed by the Secretariat.
